PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration absorbing device having reduced weight and effectively improved resistance to distortional input. SOLUTION: The vibration absorbing device 10 comprises a vibration absorbing device body 18 consisting of a cylindrical lower side member 12, an upper side member 14, a vibration absorbing base 16 joining them to each other, and a stopper rubber portion 26 attached to the upper side member, and a holding member 20. The holding member 20 has a cylindrical member 48 for holding the lower side member 12 pressed therein, a leg member 50 having a lower side mounting face portion 56 fixed to the lower side thereof and fixed to a lower face portion 2A on a body side, and a stopper member 52 fixed to an upper side opening portion 48A of the cylindrical member 48 in a bridged shape to stride over the upper side member 14. The stopper member has a pair of side wall portions 52A, 52B facing both side faces 26A, 26B of the stopper rubber portion, and an upper wall portion 52C facing an upper face 26C of the stopper rubber portion.
