摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate keeping the separation distance between optical axes comprising an optical curtain nearly constant between adjacent multiple optical axis photoelectric sensors by minimizing the separation distances between adjacent projectors and between adjacent light receivers, when mutually connecting a plurality of multiple optical axis photoelectric sensors. SOLUTION: This sensor comprises multiple optical axis projector 1 and light receiver each having a long and thin outer shape, and including a plurality of optical axes disposed at even intervals with prescribed pitches in the longitudinal direction. An outer case for the projector and receiver comprises a metallic case body 2 which has the same sectional shape in the longitudinal direction and opened at both ends, and a terminal member 5 coupled to each end of the case body 2. Optical axes are arranged on the case body 2 an the terminal members 5 at equal intervals with predetermined pitches, and the gap d1 between an optical axis located at the outermost end of the optical axes contained in the terminal member 5 and the end surface of the terminal member 5 is set to be a half or less of the pitch d2 between adjacent optical axes.
