PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device, capable of making a light-emitting material within a light-emitting cell efficiently emit light by energy of microwaves. SOLUTION: In a reentrant resonator 7 having short-circuit surfaces at both ends of an external conductor 3 and a central conductor 5 extending from one end side of the external conductor 3 to the other end side in the axial part of the external conductor 3, the light-emitting cell 9 enclosing the light-emitting material is stored in a space within the space between the tip of the central conductor 5 and the other end-side short-circuit surface of the external conductor 3 within the internal space of an external conductor 3. The reentrant resonator 5 is constituted so that the space a between the tip of the central conductor 5 and the other end-side short-circuit surface of the external conductor 3, the space b between the outer circumferential surface of the central conductor 5 and the inner circumferential surface of the outer conductor 3, and the diameter c of the central conductor 5 satisfy the relation of c<a<b. The luminescent cell 9 is stored in the outer conductor 3 with its outer circumferential surface being in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the outer conductor 3.
