PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing the amount of a treatment liquid and treatment time upon pickling treatment for the inside face of a large-sized vessel made of stainless steel. SOLUTION: In the pickling treatment method for the inside face of a large-sized vessel made of stainless steel, the whole face of the inside face of the vessel is brought into contact with a pickling treatment liquid composed of organic acid such as citric acid in a small amount and a high concentration using cluster spacers capable of expansion/shrinkage, also, by the reduction of its volume, the amount of the pickling treatment liquid to be used is reduced, and treatment time is reduced. Further, the amount of the NOx gas to be generated can be reduced even upon the subsequent nitric acid finish pickling. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
