A remote vehicle management method and a system thereof are provided to improve security and stability in the process of communication by making the communication between a vehicle management server and a vehicle management device executed through wireless authentication procedures and a timer. A remote vehicle management system comprises a terminal(300), a vehicle management server(200), and a vehicle management device(100). The terminal(300) transmits at least one state inquiry request message to the first network, such as a wired or wireless network, according to user input. The vehicle management server(200), receiving the state inquiry request message from the first network, transmits it to the second network, such as a WiBro network, a wireless LAN, etc. The vehicle management device(100), if the state inquiry request message is received through the second network, checks a vehicle state corresponding to the state inquiry request message and transmits a state inquiry response message to the vehicle management server(200) through the second network, including the state information based on a checked result.
