<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video output device capable of displaying a remote control operation guidance video together with a video changed by remote control operation on screen to allow a user to perform operation of a remote control while looking at the videos. <P>SOLUTION: The video output device comprises a first video generating means, a second video generating means, a pixel number converting means, and a video synthesizing means. The first video generating means generates a video signal for displaying a video on a display panel, based on a video signal input from outside. The second video generating means generates a remote control operation guidance video for giving operation explanation of a remote control on the screen, based on an instruction from the remote control. The pixel number converting means decreases the screen size of the video signal generated with the first video generating means. The video synthesizing means synthesizes the video signal having the reduced screen size by the pixel number converting means with the remote control operation guidance video generated by the second video generating means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
