<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which an accurate and quick cost estimate cannot be presented in a state where room planning is not made because CAD data based on design drawing is required in order to carry out the accurate estimate calculation in remodelling a condominium. <P>SOLUTION: When a plurality of floor planning samples designed in advance are used, relation between a construction area S and work volume X for given work parts is calculated by relational expression of X=aS and variation for a coefficient a is in a constant tolerable range, an average value for the coefficient a is a conversion factor A, this conversion factor A is chosen as the coefficient for directly calculating the work volume X from the construction area S. In other words, when the construction area is inputted, the corresponding work volume is automatically calculated using this conversion factor A.
