<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device 100 which is enabled to restore from a sag without installing a circuit to release protection operation of a protection detection circuit and does not have turning out of a discharge lamp at the time of occurrence of the sag, and can prevent heat generation when lighting is continued. <P>SOLUTION: The discharge lamp lighting device 100 is provided with a voltage detection circuit (voltage drop detection circuit 7) to detect a commercial power supply voltage which is the voltage of a commercial power supply. A microcomputer 6 detects an instantaneous voltage drop period which is a period in which the commercial power supply voltage detected by the voltage detection circuit becomes a prescribed voltage or less, and, by controlling the oscillation frequency of an inverter circuit 3, makes the discharge lamp 12 in preheating state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
