<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mobile type electronic equipment which is a display technique at the time of indicating the video etc., relating to TV broadcasting on a small display and can indicate the display always in a correct direction by vertically and laterally inverting the indication of the display independent of placing manner of equipment, and an image and video display method. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile type electronic equipment A having at least either of a video display function and a static image display function includes a display direction inverting means A1 for vertically and laterally inverting the indication image to the display and an inversion indication detection means A2 for detecting whether the indication image is indicated in reversal or not.
