发明名称 VARIABLE ATTENUATING FORCE DAMPER
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge an attenuation force adjustable range by improving the maximum attenuation force which a variable attenuation force damper can generate. SOLUTION: An orifice 46 is provided in the up and down face of a piston 25 which is slidably fitted to a cylinder 22 filled with magnetic viscous fluid. Valve plates 37, 38 of the piston 25 are deformed by a magnetic field generated by coils 44, 45 to change the opening of the orifice 46, thus selectively controlling the damping force of the damper. In this case, the viscosity of the magnetic viscous fluid or magnetic fluid in the orifice 46 is changed by a magnetic field generated by the coils 44, 45, thus selectively controlling the attenuating force of the damper. With a combination of damping force which is generated by the orifice 46 and the valve plates 37, 38 and damping force which is generated by the magnetic viscous fluid, great attenuating force is generated to enlarge the damping force adjustable range.
