<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station device capable of compensating for a communication area if a fault occurs in a part of the base station device which performs radio communication with a mobile terminal. <P>SOLUTION: The base station device is provided in which a communication area for performing radio communication with a mobile terminal is constituted of a plurality of sectors, and the base station device includes: a radio communication means for each sector; a fault detection means for detecting a fault in the radio communication means for each sector; and a control means for compensating for the communication area of a sector in which a fault is detected, by deforming the communication area by controlling antenna directivity of a radio communication means of a sector in which no fault occurs, if the fault is detected by the fault detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
