<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parts mounting device and method by which a number of parts holding members installed on a parts mounting head is increased, an installed number of the parts holding members per unit area on the parts mounting head is increased simultaneously, when holding and mounting parts on a circuit-forming body, thereby a parts mounting efficiency by the parts mounting head is further improved. <P>SOLUTION: On a first subhead 3 and a second subhead 3 installed on the parts mounting head, the plurality of parts holding members 1 arranged around each of centers of rotations of the respective subheads 3 in possible of rotational transfer are equipped.
