PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color classification apparatus or the like capable of classifying colors appropriate to a characteristic of a hue. SOLUTION: The color classification apparatus is characterized by including: a hue discrimination means for discriminating a hue of unit data configuring received color image data; a saturation discrimination means for discriminating the saturation of the unit data; a threshold storage means for storing a threshold by each of hues divided into a plurality of hue divisions; a hue comparison means for comparing a discriminated hue with a pre-designated hue; a saturation comparison means for comparing the discriminated saturation with the threshold corresponding to the discriminated hue; and a classification means for classifying the unit data into an extracted color or a non-extracted color on the basis of a comparison result by the hue comparison means and a comparison result by the saturation comparison means.
