PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method of optimizing position of a receiver of a mobile communication terminal device which enables comfortable voice communication by equipping a sensing section for freely controlling the position of the receiver of the terminal device. SOLUTION: The mobile communication terminal device includes the sensing section 18 for sensing information of the positions of ear holes on the basis of the features of the ear holes; a control section 102 for extracting a feature parameter on the basis of the feature of the ear holes, and comparing the extracted feature parameter with an average parameter related to general features of the ear holes; and the receiver 20 for adjusting the output direction of a voice signal on the basis of the control by the control section 102.
