PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find a marker for directly reflecting an adverse influence of macrophage on a patient. SOLUTION: In this method, diacetyl polyamine in a sample is measured, and the degree of the adverse influence of macrophage on an animal including a human is detected. This method provides a metabolism state of macrophage and detects the degree of the adverse influence of macrophage on the animal including the human. Specifically, relapse, moistness or activation of cancer or malignant tumor considered to be macrophage relevant disease, denaturation and deterioration of nerve cells of Alzheimer's disease, and sideration or development of autoimmune diseases such as rheumatism and Crohn's disease, or arteriosclerosis are predicted by measuring diacetyl polyamine. The method is thereby extremely useful for clinical assay. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
