PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preferably lubricate a ball screw used in large-sized machines such as an injection molding machine using grease over a long period. SOLUTION: A through-hole 14 radially extending from the outer peripheral surface of a nut 1 to a spiral groove 13 is formed at the axial center part of the nut. A seal is composed of an outer peripheral side edge part 31 fitted into each of the recesses 11a, 12a of the nut 1 and an inner peripheral side projection 32 fitted into the spiral groove 21 of a screw shaft 2. An axially extending hole is formed through the edge part 31 of the seal 3. A gap between the hole and each of the recesses 11a, 12a of the nut 1 is used as the outlet of the grease. Supply of the grease between the nut 1 and the screw shaft 2 through the through-hole 14 generates the flow of the grease shown by the arrow. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
