PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed control device having simple construction capable of easily reproducing a set speed. SOLUTION: In the speed control device 71 for a travelling vehicle 1 which has a continuously variable transmission 30 and an auto cruise mechanism, a transmission pedal 21 for performing transmitting operation, a clutch pedal 22 for return it to a neutral position and a speed setting lever 74 for setting a constant travelling speed are connected via link mechanisms to an arm 72 for turning a transmission shaft 80 of the continuously variable transmission 30. Between the arm 72 and the speed setting lever 74, a mechanism is provided for allowing the operation of the clutch pedal 22 in the state of retaining a position set by the speed setting lever 74.
