PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective and adequate sliding support device of which the friction coefficient can be freely set in a wide range. SOLUTION: A plurality of sliding materials 4A, 4B different in friction coefficient are arranged on a single sliding plate 3. The sliding materials are held together by a holder 5 and the vertical load of a structure is dispersed and operated onto the sliding materials. A value for the friction coefficient of each sliding material on the sliding plate and a sliding area are set, whereby the friction coefficient of the whole sliding support device 1 can be selectively set. Between the holder and each sliding material, a shock absorbing material is mounted for equalizing the bearing pressure of the holder on each sliding material. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
