PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a spike metal fitting to be pulled down forward and backward without using the hand in a posture standing on one foot, by positioning the spike metal fitting in the center of a shoe sole, where the body weight concentrates in walking with the heel down first, for the purpose of preventing slippage. SOLUTION: A number of serrated projections (1) are provided on one side of a steel ring and, in order to ensure the slip preventing effect, the spike metal fitting (3) is desirably situated at the position where the body weight concentrates in walking. The installation position of a hinge (4) for mounting the spike metal fitting (3) is set in the border between the dorsum of the foot (5) and the arch (8) of the foot in the shoe sole. Since this position is situated at more or less in the center of the shoe sole, the spike metal fitting (3) can be laid down forward and backward by only the foot operation without using the hand, by tapping the ground with the toe and the heel while standing on one foot. The spike metal fitting (3) serves the function of preventing slippage when laid down forward, and is housed in the recess of the sole corresponding to the arch (8) of the foot when laid down backward, with the function released.
