The optical connector (10) has a connector housing (101,102), in which one or more optical fibers (111) are arranged for optical coupling of an optical connecting socket (20) assigned to one or more optical components. The connector housing has a finger-shaped connection element (11) as bearing at the front side facing the optical connector for the front sided end sections of the optical fiber. The connection element is projected freely and is formed flexibly.
