PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission with transmission gears having engaging parts for increasing the degree of freedom in arrangement of the transmission gears while miniaturizing the transmission. SOLUTION: The gear type transmission comprises a main shaft 30 having driving gears 43-48, a counter shaft 33 having driven gears 53-58 to be driven by the driving gears 43-48 to set a predetermined shift stage, and shifters 81-83 engageable with specified gears out of the driving gears 43-48 and the driven gears 53-58. With the shifters 81-83 engaging with the engaging parts B1-B6 of the specified gears, the main shaft 30 drives the rotation of the counter shaft 33 at the shift stage via the shifters 81-83 and the specified gears. The outer diameter of the engaging part B1 out of the engaging parts B1-B6 is larger than the outer diameter of a tooth part 43a1 of the driving gear 43 as the specified gear.
