<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition excellent in penetrating property, without damaging ozone resistance and light fastness, an ink set and a method of recording. <P>SOLUTION: This ink composition containing at least an azo dyestuff obtained by bonding azo group with a heterocyclic ring group or a phthalocyanine dyestuff having an associative group, a water miscible organic solvent and water is provided by further containing citric acid and/or its salt.
