<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a card enhanced in bearing force against card wrong insertion to prevent wrong insertion of the card and to reduce risk where the card and a side wall of the connector interferes with each other to break the connector. <P>SOLUTION: This connector 1 for a card composed by forming a card insertion opening by opening the rear side and formed into a nearly box-like shape capable of extractably storing the card in its inside includes: a housing for arranging terminals capable of contacting the card when the card is stored; and a metallic cover 30 covering at least an upper surface 42 and both side surfaces 43.
