PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing anti-crack performance while resistance against eccentric wear and wettability are secured. SOLUTION: Circumferential thin grooves 31 extending in the tire circumferential direction are formed in the non-grounding region 30 of each shoulder 12 positioned inside the tire radial direction. By this, a load acting on an area around the shoulder 12 can be dispersed. Lug grooves 22 are connected with the circumferential grooves 31, whereby water draining performance can be secured since the groves 22 are open to the circumferential grooves 31. Therein the intersection 45 as the connection part of each lug groove 22 with the circumferential groove 31 is positioned more outside in the tire radial direction than the position about the tire radial direction of the bottom 32 of the circumferential grooves 31. This allows the separation of the groove 23 of the lug groove 22 from the bottom 32 of the circumferential groove 31, so that it is possible to suppress a stress concentration in the intersection 45.
