PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin disk drive unit 50, which has an excellent shaft vibration performance and which has a long life. SOLUTION: The disk drive unit is provided with: a clamping part (50C) clamping a disk (D); a rotor (R) having a shaft (1) and a yoke (3); and a stator (S) having a bearing (6) to which the shaft is inserted and supporting the rotor. The clamping part (50C) comprises: a hub (2) fixed to the shaft; a center cone (5a) fixed to its outer peripheral surface (2f1); a pin (5b) abutting on the hole edge (D3) of the disk; and a spring (5c) energizing this to the edge. The hub is provided with a base part (2f) having a hole (2b); a peripheral wall part (2c) extended from the surrounding of the base part; and two or more flanges (2a) extended outward separated in a peripheral direction from the outer peripheral surface (2c1) of the peripheral wall part. The hub is fixed to the shaft, the yoke has its axial directional position regulated by the flanges, and is fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall part. At the center cone, a set of the spring and the clamp pin is arranged in a circumferential direction range in which the flanges are not formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
