PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle navigation system of an inexpensive manufacturing cost, which guides a route correctly even in a road solid-crossed toward a guide intersection. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle navigation system searches the route from a current position found by an own-vehicle position detector up to a destination on a map input by an input device, superposes an own-vehicle position mark on the searched guide route displayed and guided on a display monitor, and informs a driver that the guide intersection is the first intersection after coming out of the solid-crossed road, in the case where the road toward the guide intersection is the solid-crossed road in the own vehicle, when the own vehicle approaches the guide intersection, and that the first intersection after coming out of the solid-crossed road is the guide intersection, in the case where the own vehicle is within a prescribed distance from the solid-crossed road.
