PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "a navigation system and guidance route drawing method" so as to discriminate the route existing POI (point of interesting) along the guidance route from the route not existing POI. SOLUTION: The navigation system extracts the POI along the guidance route using the POI information including the guidance route and map data from present own vehicle position to the destination. The POI existing intervals and not existing interval are detected, and the guidance route is drawn so as to discriminates both the intervals.
