PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a destination "a searching function at the time of off-route" which determines that the destination is changed if a vehicle travels on the different route from the guidance route to the destination, and proposes to set a new destination, in the in-vehicle navigation device. SOLUTION: The navigation device determines that the destination is changed if the vehicle travels on off-routing out of searched guidance route R, and continuously neglects the route guidance N times or more, and moreover it keeps away farther from the destination than from the spot off-routed from the guidance route R, and then the device automatically proposes to set a new destination.
