PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost rocker arm structure reducing wear of a rocker arm end surface. SOLUTION: The rocker arms 5, 6 operating an intake and an exhaust valve 13 are rockably mounted on a rocker shaft 4 mounted on a cylinder head 2. A spring member 7 is put between the rocker arms 5, 6 and energizes the rocker arms 5, 6 in a direction mutually separating the same on an axis of the rocker shaft 4 and making the same butt on supporters 3 respectively to regulate the same at regular positions. The spring member 7 is applied with surface treatment improving lubricity of a surface and reducing sliding resistance between the rocker arms 5, 6 , and also a flat surface part 7b to keep surface contact with the rocker arms 5, 6 is formed in butting section with the rocker arms 5, 6.
