PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for rail reprofiling equipment which can reduce the noise of a specific frequency caused by rail reprofiled traces, and to provide a rail reprofiling vehicle. SOLUTION: The control device 12 controls the reprofiling operation of the rail reprofiling equipment 6. A memory section 12a stores therein train speed/noise frequency information at each traveling zone. A control section 12d controls the reprofiling operation of the rail reprofiling equipment 6 so as to reduce noise in a predetermined frequency band generated due to the reprofiled traces after reprofiling of the rail. The control section 12d variably controls the moving speed of the rail reprofiling equipment 6 or the rotational speed of a rotary grindstone 6a so that the reprofiled traces are formed on a rail surface at irregular intervals in a rail longitudinal direction. Further in order to reduce the noise in the predetermined frequency band caused by the reprofiled traces, for instance, the control section 12d shifts the noise to a frequency band in which the noise is significantly damped in a noise level (e.g. a frequency band that is high in an A weighted sound pressure level).
