A bearing is provided to reduce structure-borne sound and vibration by using a damping member mounted between a housing and a guiding unit for guiding rotation of a shaft. A bearing includes a housing(5), a guiding unit(3), and a vibration damping member(2). The housing is fixed to a base without contacting to a middle point of the vibration damping member. A shaft is extended through the housing. The guiding unit guides the rotation of a shaft. The vibration damping member is arranged between the housing and the guiding unit. The vibration damping member is made of an elastomer member. The damping is controlled by exchanging the vibration damping member into an elastomer material having different shore hardness. In another case, the damping is controlled by changing pre-stress of the vibration damping member. The vibration damping member is replaced without disassembling the bearing. The bearing is a slide bearing. |
