<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately set a reference point inside a movement tissue when the function of the movement tissue such as left ventricle is evaluated in an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of outer contour points P1-P8 are set on the outer contour of the left ventricle being the movement tissue in initial frame data. Then, tracking processing is performed between frames by each outer contour point so as to determine the outer contour points on the outer contour in each frame data. In each frame, the reference points are set inside, based on the outer contour points.
