<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular phone and a time correction method in the cellular phone allowing time correction easily and surely. <P>SOLUTION: A setting section 7 transmits a correction direction signal directing to perform time correction when the present time reaches a preset time. A control section 2 acquires base station information using a wireless section. A position information detection section 8 detects position information from the acquired base station information. A reception frequency setting section 9 specifies a frequency corresponding to the position information by referring to a reception frequency table 11. A time signal detection section 10 detects a time signal from a broadcast received on the specified frequency and transmits a timing signal. A time correction section 6 corrects a time of a timepiece function section on the basis of the timing signal. This allows to perform time correction easily and surely. Since the time correction is performed using receiving functions for radio broadcasting, TV broadcasting, and one-segment broadcasting provided in the cellular phone, the cellular phone can be simplified in structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
