<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with the problem that there is a need for greater visibility into the availability and status of network devices. <P>SOLUTION: A device management system is provided a method for coping with requests from a client device. The system has steps of: receiving a data processing request from a client device through a communication network by a computer; reading user preference data of a user associated with the data processing request received from the client device and indicating one or more attributes that the user would like a network device that possesses the request to have; deciding a network device that processes the request from the plurality of available network devices and transmitting the request to the decided network device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
