<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector for a flat circuit board capable of low height. <P>SOLUTION: The electrical connector for the flat circuit board has a flat circuit board 1 arranged on a corresponding connecting part of a connection object member P and depresses the flat circuit board on the connection object member by a press member 3. The press member 3 has a supporting part which is supported by a supporting member 2 installed directly or indirectly on the connection object member P, and has a flat plate portion with a bent portion 6 formed by bending of a metal plate as a border and a press portion 8 having elasticity facing this.
