PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle steering device capable of ensuring high bending rigidity and vibration rigidity by preventing rotary displacement of a movable jacket in locking. SOLUTION: In the steering device 1 for the vehicle provided with a lock mechanism 15 provided with a steering shaft 5 connected with a steering system on an end and locking axial movement of a movable jacket 4 by movably fitting the movable jacket 4 for rotatably supporting the steering shaft 5 inside relative to a fixed jacket 3 in an axial direction and pressing a cam (telescopic cam) 21 rotated by turning operation of an operation lever 18 to (the movable jacket or) the fixed jacket 3, a plurality of (two) cams 21 of the lock mechanism 15 are provided and spaced apart in an axial direction.
