PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a write program, a disk check program, and a disk check method for simply and surely diagnosing the recording state of a recording medium. SOLUTION: When user data such as picture data and data for house appliances are written into a disk type recording medium, check data for diagnosing the recording state of the recording medium is written in the prescribed area such as the outer peripheral side of user data by a write control means 14 and the recording medium is loaded, it is discriminated whether check data or user data written into the prescribed area such as the outermost peripheral side can be read or not by a disk check means 15, the recording state of the recording medium is diagnosed on the basis of the discriminated result. Thereby, the recording state of the recording medium can be diagnosed simply and surely, occurrence of failure such that user data recorded in the recording medium cannot be read is prevented.
