PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long life forming mold where chipping and cracks are hardly caused. SOLUTION: An upper mold 1 has a columnar glass forming mold body 2 and a metal protection member 3. A forming face 2a is formed on the top surface of the glass forming mold body 2.
