ZINC-CONTAINING PARTICULATE COMPOUND, ZINC OXIDE PARTICULATE, AND METHODS FOR PRODUCTION THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide zinc oxide particulates composing zinc oxide powders having high dispersibility without damaging ultraviolet-screening performance, and to provide a zinc-containing particulate compound being the raw material thereof. SOLUTION: The zinc-containing particulate compound having a multi-petaloid multilayer structure in its crystal form is produced by regulating pH to≥5 to≤6.5 in the aqueous solution containing zinc-, chlorine- and sulfate-ions and having the molar ratio of chlorine ion to sulfate ion of≥1.5;1 to≤5:1 to precipitate a precursor, and hydrothermally treating the precursor-containing aqueous solution at a temperature of≥170 to≤250°C.
