PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a shift lever from being caught on a lock member or a release member. SOLUTION: In the shift lever device 70, a flat surface part 72 of an upper end of a slide wall 46 of a slider 44 extends to a vertical wall 30 of a stopper 28. Therefore, when the shift lever 12 is turned from the vertical wall 30 to the slide wall 46, the slide wall 46 is arranged below a lever 14 by abutment of the lever 14 on the flat surface part 72 and the lever 14 can be prevented from being caught on the slide wall 46. Further, when the shift lever 12 is turned from the slide wall 46 to the vertical wall 30, the vertical wall 30 is arranged below the lever 14 by abutment of the lever 14 on the flat surface part 72 and the lever 14 can be prevented from being caught on the vertical wall 30.
