PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon filled with a gas such as a helium gas or the like, having various patterns printed thereon, capable of being floated in air for a long time, suitably used as a toy, an advertisement, propagation, etc. and having transparency. SOLUTION: The balloon is composed of a laminate for the balloon comprising a two-layered laminated constitution which is composed of a barrier base material, which is obtained by providing a vapor deposition film of an inorganic oxide due to chemical vapor deposition and a gas barrier coating film at least on one side of a base material film, and a heat sealable resin layer and produced by forming the laminate for the balloon into a bag. Further, the balloon is composed of a three-layered constitution which is composed of a barrier base material obtained by providing the vapor deposition film of the inorganic oxide due to chemical vapor deposition and the gas barrier coating film at least on one side of the base material film, an intermediate base material and the heat sealable resin layer and made by forming the laminate for the balloon into a bag.
