A leaf or waste suction device (10) has a suction channel and a blowing channel encased in a suction tube (12) and a housing. A leaf or waste catcher (18) is provided at the side of the housing. An adapter (22) with suction and blowing connections (24,26) is provided on the free end of the suction tube. The suction connection couples a flexible air suction hose (32) to the suction channel. An independent claim is also included for an adapter.
