An electric motor ball valve is provided to open and close a flow path regardless of a driving gear and a following gear by rotating a locking unit of a connecting shaft over the following gear. An electric motor ball valve includes a driving gear(16), a following gear(17), a connecting unit(30), and a ball rotary shaft. The driving gear is installed inside a motor case and is coupled to a motor shaft(15) of a gear motor(14). The following gear is engaged with the driving gear and is coupled to the ball rotary shaft of a ball through the connecting unit. The connecting unit includes a connecting shaft(31) and a plurality of locking units(32). The connecting shaft is coupled with the upper part of the ball rotary shaft as one body and rotates. An upper part of the connecting shaft penetrates the center of the following gear projected to the upper part of the motor case and is jointed with a manual control lever(40). A number of locking units are elastically and radially formed on the outer circumference of the connecting shaft. Locking sills and slopes are repeatedly formed on the inner surface of the following gear for picking the locking units.
