CONDUCTIVE ROLL, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME, CHARGING ROLL, TRANSFER ROLL, CLEANING ROLL, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive conductive roll such as a charging roll, a transfer roll and a cleaning roll capable of preventing the occurrence of image defects caused by contamination due to the deposition of foreign matters onto a surface and also capable of minimizing image defects when the foreign matters are deposited onto the surface, and to provide its manufacturing method, and an image forming apparatus using the conductive roll.

SOLUTION: The conductive roll has at least a conductive elastic layer and a conductive surface layer on a conductive support, and satisfies the following conditions: (a) differences between the rolls in terms of the average ten-point roughness (Rz) of the surface is ≤3 μm: and (b) differences between the rolls in terms of the dynamic extremely minute hardness of the surface is ≤0.2.
