<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car body structure capable of effectively preventing an opener from being operated for the purpose of stealing the car by a thief. <P>SOLUTION: A car body structure comprises a hinge pillar 3 installed along a front edge portion of a side opening formed to the car body, a side door 1 opening and closing the side opening which is coupled to the hinge pillar 3 with hinges, and an opening and closing lid installed to the car body. The car body structure has a locking mechanism for setting the side door 1 to a closed state, an unlocking and restricting mechanism for restricting a locking and releasing operation of this locking mechanism, and an opener 18 for opening the opening and closing lid.
