PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing apparatus for a fluxgate sensor capable of reducing the scale and cost of an apparatus to be constituted by using a fluxgate sensor, and increasing the accuracy and reliability of measurement. SOLUTION: In an X-axis processing unit 25 and a Y-axis processing unit 27 for generating, from detected signals v<SB>ox</SB>, v<SB>oy</SB>outputted from the fluxgate sensor 10, amplitude data Ax, Ay representing their amplitudes by digital values, A/D conversion and demodulation of the detected signals v<SB>ox</SB>, v<SB>oy</SB>are performed with a quadrature detector 31 composed by using a time A/D conversion circuit (TAD) 40 by the use of a ring delay buffer. Consequently, the whole configuration of the X-axis unit 25 and the Y-axis unit 27 including the TAD 40 (quadrature detector 31) can be made up of digital circuits. As a result, the X-axis unit 25 and the Y-axis unit 27, and an azimuth calculation section 29 for performing various kinds of calculations using the amplitude data Ax, Ay being the processing results by the units can be integrated into one chip.
