The lamp has a photodiode (28) for separately detecting intensities of light emitting diodes (14, 15, 16) of different colors. A prism (29) directs light from the light emitting diodes (14, 15, 16) to the photodiode. A temperature sensor (26) detects an operating temperature of the light emitting diodes (14, 15, 16), where the common photodiode is provided for all the light emitting diodes. An independent claim is also included for a method for generating light. |
