<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of equally distributing each fluid easily to a plurality of fuel cell stacks and improved in space efficiency when mounted primarily on a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with a power generation means 1 having a plurality of cell stacks, a fuel supply means to supply fuel to the power generation means, an oxidizer supply means to supply oxidizer to the power generation means, a cooling water supply means to supply cooling water to the power generation means, a fuel manifold (fuel supply manifold 22 and fuel exhaust manifold 25), an oxidizer manifold (oxidizer supply manifold 32 and oxidizer exhaust manifold 35), a cooling water manifold (cooling water supply manifold 42 and cooling water exhaust manifold 45) which supply fuel, oxidizer, and cooling water to the power generation means and recover the fuel, oxidizer, and cooling water discharged from the power generation means.
