<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a lithographic printing plate in which a lithographic printing original plate for scanning exposure having high sensitivity to an oscillation wavelength of an inexpensive short-wavelength semiconductor laser and excellent also in storage stability and suitability to safelight is developed with an aqueous developer of pH 2.0-10.0. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for making a lithographic printing plate, the lithographic printing original plate having a photosensitive layer containing (A) a sensitizing dye having a specific structure, (B) an initiator compound, (C) a polymerizable compound and (D) a hydrophobic binder polymer having an acid number of ≤0.3 meq/g and a protective layer in this order on a hydrophilic support is exposed with a laser having a wavelength of 350-450 nm, and then the protective layer and an unexposed portion of the photosensitive layer are removed by rubbing the plate surface with a rubbing member in the presence of a developer of pH 2-10 by using an automatic processing machine equipped with the rubbing member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
