<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extension communication system with an improved transfer function and a device that uses a portable radio telephone in particular as an extension telephone system. <P>SOLUTION: The extension telephone system has a plurality of combinations of a cradle having an RFID tag and a communication terminal. The communication terminal has a transferring means for responding to an incoming call and subsequently transferring the incoming call to an instructed extension number among transfer destination candidates, an RFID reader-writer, a number collecting means for operating the RFID reader-writer and collecting extension number information from the RFID tag of each cradle, and a transfer destination displaying means for displaying the collected extension number information as a transfer destination candidate.
